HIRE OUR SPACE IN UPMINSTER
A Fine Balance is a yoga studio and multi purpose venue space available for hire in vibrant Upminster, East London / Essex border.
The studio offers natural light and contemporary decoration (exposed brick wall, white walls and wood laminate floors). This allows the space to be used in a variety of ways.
The space can be used as a therapy space, for pop-up shops, photoshoots, gallery space, supper clubs, events as well as holistic treatments.
We provide a 16 mat studio space with yoga and pilates equipment.
A Fine Balance has great transport links into central London and there’s plenty of on-street parking right outside.
Our self service studio is available to hire by the hour outside of our regular class schedule, 7 days a week.

Studio hire is available outside of our regular class timetable, so anything not showing on our timetable is free to book. See timetable here.
USUAL AVAILABILITY
Weekdays (Monday to Friday):
06:30 - 09:00; 10:30 to 18:00
Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays):
Saturdays - 06:30 - 08;30; and 11:15 - 21:00.
Sundays - 07:00 - 08:45; and 13:00 - 21:00
The studio can be hired on an ad-hoc or regular basis/; hourly, weekly, monthly or annually.
Summer offer:
One month deposit for hires with one month notice for cancellations.
Security deposit
For parties, gatherings or larger events, we have a Holding/Security Deposit of £100-£200 (rate to be agreed prior to booking and is depending on size and nature of the booking). The security deposit will be returned at the end of the booking (minus any deductions due to damage, additional cleaning fee if not cleaned appropriately by the Hirer or overtime).

Can I have a look at the studio before I book?
Yes! You can pop into have a look - our studio is only open for classes, so you could pop your head in the door immediately before or after our classes take place. Our teachers are usually at the studio 5 mins before and after each class so you can have a look then. We can also send photos and videos. Our class timetable can be viewed here.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for advanced payment to secure your booking. If you wish to cancel the booking before the date of the event you must give a minimum of 1 month notice (30 days) to recieve a refund or be able to rearrnage.We require payment in advance to secure the booking. No discount will be offered for the non - attendance of clients. We are a small business and need time to be able to refill the space if you no longer need it.
Do I need to clean up after use?
Yes, we strictly request the floor is hoovered, mopped and all rubbish removed after use so the space is safe and clean for the next user.
Do you have parking?
We don't have allocated parking, you will need to use public parking spaces. We recommend giving yourself extra time to arrive and find parking.
Can I arrive early to set up/leave late?
Your set-up, close down and cleaning afterwards must be included in the hire time. Please make sure to book enough time as any overtime will be charged at the next full hours rate. We also have other bookings that may need to access the space.
Please do not enter the studio earlier than the agreed time. We are open for classes and bookings 7 days a week, with multiple sessions each day so you may disturb the previous session if you enter earlier than agreed.
Can you promote my event online?
It is your responsibility to promote and fill your events. We cannot commit to sharing your content and promoting for you. If you tag us in posts, we will re-share if we have the capacity and as long as it ties in with our brand aesthetic / current messaging.
Do you have lights/backdrops we can use?
Although we do hire out the studio for photoshoots, we do not provide any photography equipment and this must all be brought to the premises with you.
Can I provide alcohol to my guests?
You are only permitted to provide alcohol with the relevant licences. All laws and guidance must be followed and is the responsibility of the client to ensure there is no damage to the premises or disturbance to neighbours, and ensure guests vacate the premises by the agreed time. Client assumes responsibility for all guests and their activities.
What is the WiFi password?
We only have a 4g dongle in the studio which you may use if needed.
Can I bring candles/incense etc?
The use of candles is forbidden in the studio unless they are flameless/electric.
Can I bring my own food/drinks?
Yes! Please just ensure that you clear everything away afterwards, empty the bins of leftover food and wash up after yourself.
What is the security deposit for?
For parties, gatherings or larger events, we have a Holding/Security Deposit of £100-£200 (rate to be agreed prior to booking and is depending on size and nature of the booking). The security deposit will be returned at the end of the booking (minus any deductions due to damage, additional cleaning fee if not cleaned appropriately by the Hirer or overtime). Security deposits are held as security against breach of terms and the full amount will be lost if any stated terms are breached by the client or their guests.
