Understanding the Essence of Yoga:
A brief introduction to the 8 Limbs of Yoga from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. You will contemplate how to integrate these limbs into your daily life, and how these practices hold the power to guide yourself and others into greater freedom
Develop a personal sequence including pranayama, meditation and asana:
You will receive guidance to help create your own yoga sequence with key sequencing principles, including breathwork, warm-up, peak poses, and cool-down. This will be a sequence that you can practice anywhere and on your own in order to help sustain your yoga practice.
Creating Your Sacred Space:
Discover the importance of identifying a sacred space for your personal practice, whether you practice at A Fine Balance studio, home or in nature. You will gain practical tips for setting up a sacred practice space to foster mindfulness and focus.
Group discussion, self-reflection, and journaling about overcoming obstacles and intention setting to keep on track:
Discuss common obstacles to sustaining your yoga practice and how to overcome them.
Set intentions to integrate the practice of yoga into all that you do.
