Spring into Spring: Yin, Yoga Nidra + Contemplation (2.5 hours)

Spring is an expression of life at its strongest as nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion, so does the energy within us.

Mid-March is the perfect time to clear out stagnant energy and to nourish yourself in preparation for the warmer energetic months ahead.

After a long winter of hibernation and hunching up against the cold, the sequence of longer, passive poses will brighten the nervous system, and release residual tension and stagnated energy.

 We will set intentions for the Spring season.

 During the workshop you will:

  • Align yourself with nature, the yin and yang of the seasons

  • Discover how your liver and gallbladder energy effect you on a mental, physical and emotional level

  • Brief introduction to Chinese philosophy and the 5 elements theory in nature, focusing on the wood element which relates to Spring

  • Enjoy a long and satisfying yin practice, nourishing the liver and gallbladder meridians, supporting our bodies to balance with the cycles of nature.

  • Finish with a yoga nidra to rest more deeply and connect to our sankalpa / heartfelt intentions as we move into the energetic months ahead.
