We Are Wood: Yin Yoga for Spring

Slowly as we emerge from Winter and wander into Spring, according to Chinese medicine, we shift out of the Water element into the Wood element.

Where Winter was a lot about rest, restoration, and contemplation, Spring differs in that it has an accelerating energy that can drive us into creativity and growth - if we let it. In this workshop we will learn about Nature’s wisdom and how our bodies hold this same wisdom as we, too, are nature.

We will practice leaning into this wisdom, particularly the Wood element, through meditation and mantra, as well as a longer yin yoga practice which will have an embodied approach with a focus on somatics within the postures.

After emerging from these spiritual practices, there will be some time for journaling and sharing our experiences with each other.
